A Leader in European GPS Navigation Now in the USA

Bluetooth GPS receiverFor quite some time, I have been reading messages on various Pocket PC newsgroups about the high quality of the GPS software from TomTom. But up until now, this product was only available in Europe. Well that is changing with today's announcement that TomTom is entering the US market.

TomTom established its new U.S. operations based in Concord, Massachusetts, and named former Psion executive Jocelyn Vigreux as president of TomTom USA.

“With TomTom Navigator, we offer an affordable and flexible solution to a universal problem, how to get from A to B,” said Jocelyn Vigreux, president of TomTom. “TomTom Navigator is a proven success in Europe, where tens of thousands of European citizens are currently relying on its state-of-the-art navigation capabilities to find their way. With TomTom Navigator’s launch in the U.S., we look forward to improving the lives of business and leisure travelers who require a highly dependable, user-friendly navigation system to meet their planned and unplanned travel needs.”
